Are Allergy Blood Tests Accurate?

This article on the overstated rise in peanut allergies describes allergy testing for ‘true allergens’. True allergens are diagnosed when antibodies called IgEs are detected in the blood of allergy sufferers when that blood is exposed to the allergic substance. NAET is often dismissed as non-scientific due to the reliance on muscle testing to detect hidden allergens. Acupuncture Comparable with HRT in Managing Menopausal Symptoms and Regulating Hormones

This recent study (as of 2/09) compared the effectiveness of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with acupuncture and ear acupressure for the relief of hot flashes. In menopause, the ovaries cease to function and an endocrine feedback ensues which creates the symptoms we associate with menopause such as hot flashes, irritability, and sleep disturbance.
