NAET Successfully Treats Severe Eczema and Skin Allergies

This story recounts a successful journey from illness to health using Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET). These techniques are non-invasive, drug free, and natural solutions to eliminate allergies of all types and intensities. Muscle testing procedures are used first to diagnose the allergen(s). Then a systematic treatment procedure combining acupressure and acupuncture is given to reprogram the brain with a new message about the allergen. One allergy is treated at a time; a person with mild to moderate amount of allergies may require 15-20 treatments.

“One day I will be able to grieve and feel sad about this.” Tara, a young mother of a 2.5 year old daughter, wiped away the tears as she recounted the horrors of their life altering journey. Her young daughter (S.) was diagnosed with severe eczema (atopic dermatitis) at the age of 18 months. For the next 12 months, the whole family was plunged into a situation that would challenge the strongest of families. The eczema started on the elbows and escalated quickly to cover 95% of the toddler’s body. “The only place that felt normal was the end of her nose”, said Tara. She and her husband tried over the counter remedies, elimination diets, steroids and ultimately antibiotics, all to no avail.

The whole day was consumed with trying to prevent S. from scratching herself. Imagine trying to bath, dress, and feed an 18 month old toddler while holding her hands down! To reduce her urge to scratch, they put cream on her body to trap the moisture, and then covered her with wet clothes and finally a layer of dry clothes.

Desperation led the family to Dr. Renee Waldman. They came to Arizona in hopes that the climate would help the situation. A family member met Dr. Waldman and made an appointment. Tara was extremely reluctant since she had already tried other naturopathic doctors with no result. As a last ditch effort, she agreed to give it one and only one session.

Dr. Waldman is a certified NAET Practitioner and was able to successfully use this technique on S. Tara describes the treatment as a rewiring process where the patient’s allergy is eliminated through muscle testing, acupressure and acupuncture. Since her daughter was so young, several family members volunteered to act as surrogates for the muscle testing and acupuncture. This provided a rare opportunity to participate in her healing process which also afforded them the ability to heal themselves.

Tara recounts that she saw an improvement after the first session. Not so much in the office, but later at home her daughter appeared less aggravated. “Her eyes used to be vacant and sad; after the first treatment I saw her eyes come to life”. That sealed the deal and the family made the commitment to come for treatment 6 days a week. Eight weeks later, the treatments were complete.

What is so unique about the NAET process is that 10 family members were involved in the treatment from grandparents, aunts and parents. Dr. Waldman was able to connect with S. on her level, creating a safe environment which she was happy to be in every day.

When asked what a typical day is like now, Tara responded that she is getting to know her daughter all over again. S. stopped developing as a person for the year of her illness; now it is like getting to renew acquaintances with each other. “Now I’m dealing with normal 2 year old stuff – that is both joyous and hopeful.”

Tara completes her story by saying that now she has time to let herself feel, and experience the grief she couldn’t do previously during her difficult journey. “After all, I am a patient of this experience too.”
